This temporary position performs professional level work designing, developing and maintaining Denton County website and Intranet sites.

Examples of Duties

  • Creates, updates, maintains content on the Denton County web site.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates SharePoint Online sites that meet our organization's needs. This includes lists, libraries, workflows, web parts, subsites, pages, templates, analytics, and security.
  • Develops custom web parts, custom master pages and custom page layouts.
  • Develops custom applications using SharePoint Object Model and Web Services.
  • Converts information into web content, PDF documents and graphics.
  • Creates and edits images and graphics.
  • Provides quality assurance and testing of websites and applications.
  • Works with minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must not have any Class B misdemeanor or higher convictions or deferred adjudications.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a related field required; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Must have experience and proficiency with HTML and CSS, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Online Administration, SEO best practices, and SEO tools (i.e. Google Analytics, SiteImprove, etc.)
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Sitecore Content Management System preferred.
  • Experience with ASP.Net, C#, Web API, CAML, XML, XSLT, Rest/SOAP web services, SQL Server, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, Bootstrap, 508 compliance, visual communications, and creative web design preferred.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have an attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Supplemental Information

The anticipated work period would be for 20-40 hours/week with an end date around September 2018.

Contract Labor positions are staffed through an employment agency.

Denton County will provide the name and contact information for the employment agency prior to starting an assignment.
