SUMMARY

The Southern California Regional Rail Authority, operator of the METROLINK Commuter Rail System, is seeking an SSE - Marketing Specialist to assist in planning, developing, and executing all marketing campaigns and programs in support of the Metrolink System. The SSE – Marketing Specialist will have exceptional communication skills, a creative mind, and strong ability to match the right message with the appropriate target market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this classification. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all- inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Create, manage and execute promotional and destination-based marketing campaigns.
  • Track, report and present progress on all new and current promotions and programs.
  • Effectively manage projects and requests to meet or exceed expectations, and deliver quality work on time
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative market research to establish and monitor marketing goals, strategies, and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with staff responsible for market research, media, external communications, and government affairs to ensure their efforts are consistent with the marketing objectives and plan;
  • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and clear communications across all media, including advertising materials and promotional items
  • Manage strategic relationships and partner with project stakeholders, inter-departmental staff, agencies and vendors, when necessary.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
  • Collaborate with team on budget tracking and monitoring expenditures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Management or related field;
  • Five years of progressive experience in marketing, advertising and sales;
  • Valid Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record of no more than three moving violations and no DUI's within the last three years.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Public sector or public transportation agency preferred

TRANSPORTATION PASSES:
SCRRA provides a no cost Metrolink ticket or a subsidy up to the cost of the highest cost Metro monthly pass (currently $352) for the purchase of another public transportation pass.
