Job Responsibilities

The Department of Mental Health is a drug-free workplace. All candidates will be required to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test.

This position is located at Patrick Harris Psychiatric Hospital in Anderson, S.C.

Under direct supervision performs routine work in the preparation and cooking of food for regular and therapeutically modified diets.  This employee is trained in behaviors and level of functioning of various ages and populations of psychiatric patients.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Requirement: There are no minimum training and experience requirements for this class.

Agency Preference: A tenth grade education and one year experience in quantity cooking and food service.
