LOCATION:  1 Haben Blvd, Palmetto and Crosley Estate, Sarasota

HOURS:  Hours and days of work will vary to support events. Hours are typically average 20 per week, but will not exceed 25 per week. 

PAY GRADE: G1 $8.54 - $ 10.68

To assist in the set-up, tear-down, and cleanup of furniture, equipment  and/or perform routine janitorial duties,  for events held primarily at the Bradenton Area Convention Center. Position will work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts. The scheduled shifts are typically as follows:

AM Shift - 7am-3pm
PM shift - 3pm-11pm
Overnight shift - 11pm -7am

  Familiarity with small power tools and equipment used in set-ups and tear-downs associated with events desired.

This is an as-needed, on call position with no set schedule or guaranteed shifts or hours of work. Work schedules at the Bradenton Area Convention Center are set up and based on supporting the variety of events that take place at the facility. Therefore, work schedules can vary and there can also be variations in schedules based on seasons of the year. The scheduled shifts are typically as follows: AM shift is 7am-3pm, PM shifts is 3pm-11pm, Overnight shifts is 11pm-7am. On average, an Event Technician might work 20-25 hours a week based upon availability and job performance, but could also be scheduled for fewer hours or no hours in a particular week, depending on the needs of the Convention Center. The number of hours will typically not exceed 25 hours per week. Work schedules are developed and published 1-2 weeks in advance. Are you able to work this type of schedule?
