Job Responsibilities

The Department of Mental Health is a drug-free workplace.  All candidates will be required to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test. 

This position is located and worked within the Division of Inpatient Services to include:  G. Werber Bryan, Morris Village, W.S. Hall, Forensics, and C.M.Tucker Nursing Care Center.

Supplemental location pay applies to C.M. Tucker Jr Nursing Care Center & Bryan Psychiatric Hospital facilities. Must meet direct-care qualifications.

Under the supervision of Registered Nurse provides direct patient care.

 

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Requirement: Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing. Must be licensed by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing (LLR).

Agency Requirement:
LPN II: Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing and one (1) year nursing experience. Successful completion of an eighty (80) hour Pharmacology course documented proficiency in the administration of medications may be substituted for the one (1) year experience requirement. Must be licensed by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing (LLR).


Note: If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position. Salary may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
