POLL WORKER TRAINER (STAFF ASSISTANT) - EXTRA HELP

$16.25 per hour - No Benefits

We are looking for temporary help to accomplish the Statewide Primary Election on June 6, 2006.

Poll Worker Trainers prepare and present pre-designed classes for poll workers teaching skills and procedures for polling place operations. The hours will vary and several schedule options are available including evenings and weekends. Schedules may be less than full time. The intense training periods will be from April 11, 2006 through June 6, 2006.

If you have the following skills and abilities, we have just the opportunity for you.

  • Ability to teach from prepared documentation
  • Speak in easily understand English
  • Ability to answer questions clearly and confidently
  • Ability to operate audiovisual equipment, including projector and use power point presentation
  • Patience to work with a wide variety of ages, ethnic groups and skill levels
  • Present a professional appearance and demeanor in the classroom
  • Must possess reliable transportation to conduct training in sites countywide
  • Some flexibility in scheduling is required

Poll Worker Trainers must be available on June 6, to provide poll worker support via telephone.
