Jaya - CS - JP - 01

We are seeking a candidate to perform a variety of duties involved with the Human Services business office, to include reviewing account and budget records for accuracy and assisting in the preparation of accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.

• Assists with monthly journal entries and month- end closing.
• Assists with compiling and maintaining financial data.
• Check Log and Cash Log reconciliation - to ensure that all monies received by the county are handled appropriately and timely.
• Non-Reimbursable object code analysis – review and ensure all transactions that are coded as non-reimbursable to the county are accurate.
• Payroll reconciliation and upload to state
• Mileage reimbursement audits
• Assist with Balance Sheet maintenance and reconciliations
• Program analysis (i.e. Child Care, LEAP, CORE, etc)
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Experience:
  • Three (3) years of general accounting experience, preferably in a Human Services environment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience with CFMS (Colorado Financial Management System); CHATS (Childcare Automated Tracking System); TRAILS (Colorado Child Welfare case management system); and CBMS (Colorado Benefit Management System).
• Education and Training:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Prefer some college work in Accounting or an Associate's degree in Accounting.
• License or Certificate: None.
• Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
