Description


IDEAL position for someone seeking part-time work limited to weekday mornings. 

This is a limited, flexible, fill-in position that assists with providing meals and activities at local Nutrition Program at our Amery and Milltown Senior Dining Sites, serving congregate dining over the noon hour on Monday,Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Duties/Responsibilities

Essential Duties:   These duties represent the typical duties and responsibilities assigned to this position but may not be inclusive of all tasks performed.

  • Provide outstanding customer service, maintaining a friendly, positive and safe environment
  • Cooks and organizes time to ensure meals are served as scheduled
  • Assist in the preparation of meals
  • Maintain all proper food handling; including, but not limited to sanitation, temperatures and avoidance of cross contamination
  • Clean work areas, equipment, dishes and dining area
  • Assist with recordkeeping
  • Ensure good sanitation practices are followed throughout the day.
  • Clean coolers and home delivered meal bags as needed.
  • Serve food to the congregate diners, assisting those who need help, and sit down with them as they eat their lunch.
  • Assure that leftover food is handled according to Nutrition Program policy.
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean, safe and sanitary by sweeping and mopping the floor, wiping tables, etc.
  • Assist the public in a warm and courteous manner.
  • Participate as a team member to improve efficiency and cooperatively solve problems.
  • Adhere to department's policy of confidentiality.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:   High school diploma or GED.
