Job Responsibilities

Performs maintenance related duties utilizing HVAC skills; exercises supervisory responsibility for a small work crew. Duties require multi and complex duties involving all aspects of HVAC, mechanical, electronic/electrical duties, including Energy Management systems, including repair, trouble-shooting, installation and preventive maintenance measures. Make HVAC repairs or replace as needed using HVAC test equipment skills. Duties are based on job assignments which can range from simple to complex building HVAC functions. Operates EMS to manage, monitor and adjust HVAC program.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

An associate degree and two (2) years directly related work experience; or a high school diploma and four (4) years directly related work experience.Must have a strong mechanical background in HVAC. Electronic controls experience is desirable. Valid SC driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer a Journeyman Mechanical license.

Additional Comments

Requires working flex hours (evenings/weekends) or as directed. Requires travel to county campuses and other business related trips; may require travel, possibly overnight, to attend trainings, workshops, seminars, conferences and/or professional development. Requires the ability to climb and lift up to 50 lbs.
