Description

The Facilities Construction Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing all new construction and renovation projects for Denton County.
Examples of Duties
Facilitates communication among County and architects, engineers, and consultants to review and finalize project construction documents, i.e., drawings, and specifications.
Act as Denton County's on-site representative to the construction project manager.
Acts as the County's on-site representative for the construction projects.
Assists the construction project manager with follow-up to ensure that plan and specification revisions address those needs appropriately.
Assists the construction project manager by inspecting projects for compliance with plans and specifications. Involves Facilities and Technology Services staff as required.
Tracks deficiencies and unacceptable work and ensures through RFI's that they are resolved by the contractor. Creates, and maintains master issues list.
Works to help projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Understanding of and ability to review submittals for compliance with the construction documents.
Performs quality control review of construction document prior to construction.
Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Performs other related duties as required.
May be required to work after hours, weekends or holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and minimum five years of experience as a construction superintendent for medium or large projects; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Engineering, Architecture or Construction Degree and/or license preferred.
Possession of a valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain a State of Texas driver's license within 90 days of employment.
Must be able to pass a State Criminal History background check.Supplemental Information
