IT Technical Intern

An internship with Waukesha County Department of Administration (DOA) – Information Technology Division is to provide an opportunity for students to receive on the job training, in a professional work environment, while attending school. Internship will allows students to apply what they have learned in the classroom to real life experience, as well as give the student the opportunity to gain valuable applied experiences and to teach additional on the job functions in a governmental setting.
 

Candidates must currently be attending a technical college or University with a study in a Computer Science related Field. Candidates entering there Junior or Senior is preferred, but not required.
 

Waukesha County DOA – IT, as an initial goal, would envision an internship lasting approximately 3 month but no greater than 12 months.  Renewal of internship will be based upon performance, budget, and county's need after the 12-month period. An intern can work up to 24 hours per week, allowing for flexibility around school schedules. Internship with Waukesha County Department of Administration – Information Technology Division ends within 6 months after graduation.
