Description

The Enterprise e-forms development team within Central IT is seeking a talented System Administrator (Adobe Experience Manager DevOps Engineer) interested in expanding their skill set. The person hired for this position will fill the e-form System Administrator role which performs system administration and Tier II support for approximately 9,000 users. This position will be responsible for providing application and software support services for supporting Adobe LiveCycle ES4 3800 plus e-forms transitioning to Adobe Experience Manager 6.3 e-forms. Duties are performed in collaboration with other IT staff, internal and external customers, and vendors in a service delivery and problem ticket response environment.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include:

Administer and configure software systems to include e-form applications hosted using Java Application Server technology.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems relating to application, e-form, and device incidents; make recommendations supporting strategic and tactical organizational goals.
Collaborate with other infrastructure and development teams on shared components or integration points.
Schedule and participate in system infrastructure and device upgrades, remediation, and health checks.
Implement monitoring tool thresholds, conduct proactive event remediation, capacity planning, and optimization.
Evaluate, plan, and coordinate the implementation of rollouts and resource allocation for e-form systems and applications.
Serve as technical liaison and coordinator between the customer departments and IT.
Provide technical assistance and sharing of information regarding system issues with IT staff and customers.
Provide customized status reports to customers, team leaders, and supervisors.
Participate in on-call support rotation for problem ticket response based on priority of incident.
Support application deployment into the Adobe Experience Manager, configuring application needs, deploying code/content, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Understand and participate in change control and change management processes.
Update system documentation supporting above activities including standard operation procedures.
Effectively deploy and manage applications on JBoss Enterprise Application Platform.

Best Qualified Candidates will have:

One of the following:
- Master's degree or higher in information technology.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology field and two years of IT experience.
- Two year college/vocational technical degree in a technology field and three years or more of IT experience.
- An approved information technology certificate and three years or more of IT experience.
- Completion of five college/vocational technical technology courses and three years or more of IT experience.
- Completion of approved IT Hennepin County internship and three years or more of IT experience.
- Five years or more of IT experience.
Two years or more of experience as a system administrator.
Experience:
- With Adobe Experience Manager.
- With system administration of Microsoft operating system.
- With Java Application Server technology.
- With JBoss Enterprise Application Platform.
- Working in a large server farm environment.
- Working with e-forms.
- Providing Tier II application support.
- With Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc).
