General Information
LOCATION: 2101 47th Terrance E.
HOURS: Varied schedule
Pay grade: G14
This classification performs a variety of tasks relating to Traffic Signal Systems, including traffic control devices, fiber optic communications, computerized timing, and other state-of-the-art electronic equipment and/or programs. Assists with maintenance and calibration of sophisticated electronic traffic signal controllers, conflict monitors, and detector units. Serves as coordinator between the Traffic Information and Traffic Systems sections, relative to peak traffic data and other statistics that govern modifications. Assists and coordinates with appropriate management any changes, problems or plans involving signal control timing.

Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working with ATMS.now Control Signal System Management platform or a similar system.
- Experience working with Noztec 980 Controllers, Try traffic and Synchro/Simtraffic software programs.
- Experience working on signal re-timing projects related to coordinated signal systems.
High school graduate/equivalent.
Minimum of six (6) years experience relating to signal systems operation, including repair and maintenance of traffic devices and related communications equipment.
Associates degree or related vocational courses/training certifications, with related electronic experience, desired.
Must have certifications by ATSSA or IMSA in Work Zone Safety and IMSA Traffic Signal Level I.
Must obtain Level II within six (6) months of hire.
Valid Florida driver's license required.
In accordance with area of assignment, may require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
