Description
The purpose of this position is to perform semi-skilled and skilled work in all phases of residential building inspections to ensure compliance. This is accomplished by performing building inspections to assure compliance with the City's building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes, other city ordinances, and state and federal laws. Other duties may include completing related tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- The Building Inspector I is a Fixed Term position. "Employment under fixed term will be for a minimum of six (6) months, and a maximum of thirty-six (36) months. Each term agreement shall be for a period not to exceed (12) months. No extensions to the duration of employment shall be granted that result in the extension of the total duration of employment for a period longer than thirty-six (36) months.
