SUMMARY
- This position is also eligible for tips.
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for prompt, efficient and friendly service of food and beverages to customers at the Thorncreek Golf Course. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Serves customers food and beverages either in the clubhouse, on the back patio, or from the cart on the golf course.
Interacts with and provides excellent customer service to customers and members of the golf course facilities. Works with all food and beverage staff to ensure the highest level of member and guest satisfaction. Acts in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Maintains and keeps all records concerning food and beverage sales, cash tickets, member charges, etc. Performs basic math skills. Itemizes bills correctly and efficiently secures payment. Responsible for the accounting of monies received. Accounts for all receipts and makes deposits.
Completes daily inventory of all products, both food and beverage. Loads and unloads the beverage cart daily. Notifies the appropriate personnel when items need to be ordered. Notifies proper kitchen staff of items that need to be ordered, prepared or restocked. Keeps all condiments stocked and clean.
Provides timely food and beverage service to guests including, but not limited to, distributing menus, making menu recommendations, taking food and beverage orders, submitting orders to kitchen, preparing or mixing both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, placing food and beverages on trays, adding garnishes or other appropriate ingredients, and delivering and serving orders. Prepares garnishes and other drink ingredients as needed. Has thorough knowledge of menu contents, daily specials, and basic preparation of each; has thorough knowledge of beverages and promotions.
Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all service areas and assigned tables. Keeps all menus wiped down, free of spots, and clean. Keeps dining area clean. Removes soiled dishes from tables. Washes glasses and bar equipment as needed. Assists in regular inspections of the service areas to ensure that all preventive maintenance, safety, sanitation, and all other standard operating policies and procedures are consistently achieved.
Keeps bar area stocked appropriately with beer, liquor, cups and lids, ice etc. Keeps beverage cart fueled, stocked and iced, and in clean and good working order.
Assures that all legal requirements are met pertaining to food and beverage service, cleanliness, and storage. Assists with special events or banquets, including setup.
Observes and enforces all local, state and federal liquor laws. Protects course and city from liability and image with regard to serving intoxicated persons.
Drives a golf cart or other utility vehicle as necessary.
May be required to work nights, weekends, holidays and/or overtime.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education/Experience:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older; 21 years of age or older preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Some knowledge of golf, customer service or food and beverage experience is preferred. Additional schooling or training in food service and preparation, or customer relations is highly desirable. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Valid Colorado driver's license with a safe driving record. City of Thornton liquor training must be obtained at the first available opportunity.
