Middle School Athletic Coach (Recreation Leader I)

This is a Limited Hourly non-benefited position and not to exceed 415 hours per fiscal year (July - June).  The number of hours per week and schedule will be determined based on the assignment.

Essentials and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Communicates by email and by phone with customers
• Plan and conduct recreational activities for community members of middle  school age
• Ensure facility is maintained and safe procedures are followed
• Advertise upcoming events 
• Monitors their own practices and games
• Always on time and available Monday through Friday for an hour and a half between the hours of 2-7 pm
• Goes through coaches training before work.
• All other duties as assigned 

Entry level positions that do not require previous experience including: 

• Teen Leaders
• Gymnastics Instructors
• Sports Camp Assistants
• Special Event Assistants
• Summer Camp Counselors
• Coaches

• High School diploma or G.E.D certificate
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Leadership skills
• At least one year of coaching middle school level sports/ played at least two year of a sport
