The County seeks experienced licensed commercial Appraisers for immediate vacancies. The County offers stability and excellent benefits. Individuals seeking career growth are encouraged to apply. Appraisers within the Real Estate Services Department perform complex appraisals of all property types for County purposes which includes appraising for acquisitions of real property for County occupancy, eminent domain for public projects, surplus disposition, and asset monitoring.

Administrative Services Unit BenefitsCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT1) Applicant must successfully pass a background check prior to appointment. 2) Travel throughout the County may be required. A valid California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment; employees in this class may be required to use personal vehicles and show proof of automobile liability insurance.Minimum Requirements
License: Valid Certified General Appraisal License issued by the California Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers.
--AND--
Experience: Two (2) years of experience appraising commercial real estate that includes performing cost, income, and sales comparison valuation approaches.
-- AND --
Education: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework, half of which must be upper division, in real estate, public/business administration, economics, or other closely related field. A Bachelor's degree is highly desirable.
Applications may be accepted from candidates who possess a current valid appraisal license in another state and have already applied for an Out-of-State (Reciprocal) License through the California Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers.
An equivalent combination of qualifying experience and education may be considered.Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, or comparable field, and have more than two years of experience performing right of way appraisals for public projects.
