Job Responsibilities
In order to build an active pool of qualified applicants, Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty (temporary, part-time) to teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or our six county centers in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick during the day/evenings, on-line and dual credit instructors to teach in high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching varying schedules to a diverse student body in accordance with the established syllabi, at a variety of locations, utilizing technology, and using a variety of teaching methods in instruction.
Provide students with appropriate course materials (syllabus, calendar, policy statements or guidelines) and utilize course management software efficiently and effectively. Adhere to course competencies in the preparation and delivery of quality instruction. Learn and use computer resources to access data and properly advise students. Provide appropriate academic guidance. Prepare and maintain competency-based course syllabi and support materials for all courses, with effective use of course management software. Assist in recruitment and placement. Be knowledgeable of institutional policies, procedures and programs.Minimum and Additional Requirements
Must have a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate level hours in mathematics. The graduate level mathematics cannot have an education prefix and must not be labeled as math for teachers.
