Junior Lifeguard Program Aide (Pools) #2018-PT15

Works with Jr. Lifeguard Camp Coordinators and Lifeguards in directing the aquatic activities for the Jr. Lifeguard Camp held at the public pool and may assist with recreational swim team.  Performs related duties as required.

• Must have been a previous Jr. Lifeguard Camp participant. 
• Applicants must be at least 15 years of age.
• Must complete the enclosed Jr. Lifeguard Program Authorization, Waiver and Release
• Swimming ability necessary.  Must pass physical performance pool swim test.
• Must obtain CPR for the Professional Rescuer or American Heart Association Health Care Provider within 30 days from hire.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and provide for the safety of students in the program in a variety of situations. 
• Physical abilities include running, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying and lifting up to 45 lbs. 
• Specific abilities include hearing, talking, seeing, and reading.  Outside work under all weather conditions.

Work Days/Hours   :  During summer months, (the Summer program) hours will be Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
