Job Responsibilities
- Provide quarters for Army Reserve, National Guard, USMC, and other military divisions of the USA, as well as state agencies and civilian companies. Handle the custodial and administrative details of Billeting as assigned. Perform custodial and any other as assigned to support the Billeting Program. Perform daily custodial cleaning services for the Billeting Operation: empty trash, clean bathrooms, sweep/mop/vacuum floors, dust, clean refrigerators/microwaves/stoves and disinfect commonly touched areas (bed walls, light switches, door knobs, etc.). Report maintenance issues, broken or damaged furniture to Front Desk personnel. Pull bedspreads, linens and towels, bag and transport to laundry facility. Perform laundry services. Sort, treat stains, wash, dry and fold towels and linens. Prepare Sheet Rolls, package clean laundry and load on Housekeeping vehicle. Individual is required to lift, push, pull and haul a minimum of 55 pounds. Set up rooms. Inspect for cleanliness. Stack a blanket, linens, and bar soap on the foot of the bed. Each guest is to receive two (2) towels and a wash cloth. Operate Housekeeping vehicles in compliance with State Agency Regulations for the sole purpose of transporting cleaning supplies, towels and linens to assigned buildings. Proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals. Current knowledge of Safety Data sheets on each chemical.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
- At least meeting the required reading and writing comprehension skills. Custodial janitorial, grounds and vehicle maintenance experience directly related to the area of employment. Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license with NO DUI in the last 5 years or felony convictions and be able to pass both State and Federal Background checks.

- Candidate must possess janitorial, grounds and vehicle maintenance experience. Ability to stand for long periods, stoop, squat, climb, regularly lift/carry/push 55 pounds and have the manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate equipment. Must be able to present a positive image of the organization to customers, possess emotional maturity, a willingness to cooperate with the supervisor, demonstrate respect for customers and have good personal hygiene. Effective communication and computer skills commensurate with the responsibilities of the position are required. Must have effective organizational, problem solving, and time management skills with the ability to learn and comprehend information from Procedures Manuals and other materials.
