One of the premier agencies in the Inland Empire, the San Bernardino Police Department is recognized at the state and national levels for award winning community oriented policing programs.The City of San Bernardino is seeking an experienced records supervisor to oversee the technical and operational activities of the Police Records Division, including permits and registration, subpoenas, stenography, scanning and PBX operations. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and customer service focused.

Education, Training and Experience:
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent; and at least two years of progressively responsible law enforcement records management experience, at least one of which was in a lead capacity; or one year as a Police Records Technician II with the City of San Bernardino; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Typing speed of 40 words per minute is required.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
A valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the City's vehicle insurance policy.
The ability to satisfactorily complete the P.O.S.T. Records Supervisor training program within one year of date of employment.Supplemental Information
