Job Description
- OPEN UNTIL FILLED
This position is responsible for managing the activities of the concession stands at the swimming pool facilities. Essential Job Functions
- Participates in hiring process, recruits and orients concession staff; prepares work schedules for staff; conducts periodic staff meetings; coordinates, demonstrates, and participates in in-service training; performs staff evaluations and takes corrective actions when needed; ensures the accuracy of staff time and payroll attendance
- Maintains an accessible presence at swimming pool sites; receives complaints from staff and patrons regarding the concession stands; responds to patron complaints within 24 hours; reports critical issues raised by staff or patrons and any actions taken to resolve such issues; maintains a log of all issues and accidents that occur at a concession stand
- Ensures compliance with state laws, Tulsa City-County ordinances, and department rules and regulations regarding the health and safety of concession stand patrons; ensures compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety codes and regulatory laws regarding concession stands; enforces all swimming pool facility policies, rules, and regulations
- Completes records and reports in a professional manner
- Ensures concession stand maintenance is documented, reported, and completed
- Requisitions concession supplies, materials, and equipment as needed
- Assists patrons in a friendly manner without compromising swimming pool facility policies, rules, regulations, or surveillance
- Recognizes emergencies and responds quickly and effectively to those emergencies
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/ internship or having had a similar position for one to two years
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a Food Handler Manager Certification issued by the Tulsa Health Department
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
