The Department of Transportation has 12 Seasonal Maintenance Tech vacancies in the Traffic Operations and Road Maintenance section.  The primary goal of the Traffic Operations and Road Maintenance Division is to maintain the roads and right of ways in Gwinnett County to ensure safe driving conditions for the public works infrastructure.

This position may be a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Gwinnett County Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace.

The Department of Transportation consists of three sections: Intermodal Operations; Capital Program Delivery; and Traffic Engineering, Operations and Maintenance. The Department maintains an infrastructure system that includes more than 2,500 miles of road, over 700 signalized intersections, thousands of miles of traffic striping, the Gwinnett County Transit System and one of the four busiest airports in Georgia. The Department performs this mission with 155 approved full-time positions and a 2018 adopted operating budget of $44.5 million in multiple funds.
