Pay Grade: Executive 2
This position will lead a team of creative designers and communicators in the development and execution of effective marketing initiatives for North Carolina's largest community college. This person is responsible for marketing planning, strategy, and analysis, and directing marketing efforts towards success.Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

*Lead the development and implementation of enrollment, retention, and brand awareness campaigns for execution over multiple traditional and digital platforms
*Provide leadership, supervision, direction, and motivation for a team of marketing managers, designers, and content specialists
*Serve as chief strategist for marketing initiatives based on sound market research, target audiences, and program offerings
*Collaborate with Communications and Marketing staff to develop messaging and find innovative ways to connect with target audiences and effectively communicate those messages, both internally and externally
*Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives, and are an effective expenditure of resources
Approve all creative designs to ensure that they meet brand standards and marketing goals
Measure the effectiveness of campaigns, analyze the results, and adjust campaigns accordingly
Work with the Vice President of Communications and Marketing to oversee and effectively manage marketing budget
Provide expertise to executive leadership and collaborate with key stakeholders across the college on marketing opportunities and strategies
Complete an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basisQualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to lead, coach, manage a team of marketing professionals
Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, staff, faculty, community partners, and the general public
Ability to efficiently manage time, organize work, prioritize tasks, and work independently
Strategic, critical but creative thinker, strong business sense and excellent financial skills
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
10 years' experience in managing comprehensive strategic marketing initiatives to advance an organization's mission and goals
Demonstrated successful leadership and supervisory experience
Experience with social media and digital marketing platforms
Preferences:
Professional Certified Marketer
Marketing experience in a higher education environment
