Work in beautiful Laguna Beach this summer!
Trolley Stewards assist passengers, visitors, and narrate information aboard the City's trolleys and busses throughout the summer festival season. Hours will vary and late nights, weekends and holidays are included. If you possess excellent customer service skills please apply!
Applications will continue to be accepted on a continuous basis and interviews scheduled until all positions are filled. Apply early to receive consideration first!
2018 Important Dates:- Official Start of Summer Season: June 25
- Season Officially Concludes: September 2
Candidates selected for hire who are under the age of 18 must have a work permit (see link below). A work permit is not necessary to interview for the position.
All prospective Trolley Steward candidates must successfully pass a police background check and a fingerprint check with the State Department of Justice.
The appointing authority will further review the job related qualifications of those deemed eligible for hire before making selection decisions.Examples of Duties
Trolley Stewards assist passengers getting on and off a trolley or bus, rides the trolley or bus and narrates information about the City of Laguna Beach. Stewards assist in the transportation needs of the disabled and those using wheelchairs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior public contact work experience is helpful, but not required.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Valid work permit (if under 18 years of age)
- A social security card
- Picture ID
Supplemental Information
Ability to: work with the public in a friendly and courteous manner; provide information clearly and concisely regarding festivals, trolley routes, restaurants, shops, and other related information; work cooperatively and effectively with the general public and others encountered in the performance of duties; to work shifts as assigned, including nights and weekends; and follow oral instructions and adhere to established procedures and safe work practices.
