Job Summary

The City of San Bernardino is seeking an experienced manager to lead the Senior Companion Program. The ideal candidate will be a self starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment with professional experience in the administration of Federal and State grant programs, managing volunteer programs and providing services to senior clients.For more information about this position, please call the

Education, Training and Experience:
OR
Bachelor's degree in human services, social welfare, sociology, psychology or a closely related field is required.
One year of experience in the administration of a Senior Companion Program which addresses the needs of frail, homebound, isolated and special at-risk-elderly, mentally disabled and those being released from acute care facilities.
Three years of experience in the administration of a program for the aging to include human services, social welfare, sociology, psychology or other programs directly related to the needs of the elderly. Additional qualifying experience of the specified type may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis up to four years.
License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid Class "C" California driver's license is required.Supplemental Information
