Description
- Temporary seasonal position with locations state wide.
Examples of Work
- Assist with prescribed burning, ground preparation and planting of food plots and grass plantings, build and maintain boundary fences, repair and maintain equipment, assist with wildlife surveys, mix and apply chemicals (noxious weed control), word processing, age and check deer and assist in operation of controlled hunts.
Qualifications / Requirements
- REQUIREMENTS: 12 semester hours or the equivalent of post high school coursework/training in fisheries management, wildlife management, natural resources and/or biology or six months experience in wildlife/recreation or fisheries management. Valid driver's license or able to provide independent authorized transportation.
PREFERRED: Applicants with Pesticide Applicators license and Class A CDL license with O endorsement. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of and ability to operate tractors, All Terrain Vehicles (ATV's), chainsaws, and farm equipment; basic knowledge of wildlife management principles. Computer skills (MS Word, Access, Excel) highly desirable.
