The Sonoma County Regional Parks department is seeking applicants to fill multiple intermittent, extra-help Park Aide positions.

Working in locations across the County, Park Aides assist in routine park operations such as:
  • Collecting day-use and camping fees
  • Assisting park visitors
  • Registering campers
  • Explaining park rules
  • Performing maintenance and janitorial tasks
Some of the positions will be assigned work through the Environmental Discovery Center (EDC) of Sonoma County. The EDC provides an array of informative and interactive displays, as well as interpretive projects designed to delight children. Park Aides assigned to the EDC or Tolay Fall Festival will assist in providing an educational and teaching component to elementary school classes visiting the EDC and other parks during the school year. Training in park rules, procedures, interpretation, and operations is provided.

Work locations may vary and work assignments include irregular hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. A candidate's flexibility in work days and work hours is highly desirable and may be a factor in hiring decisions. Park Aides are required to wear a County issued uniform and will receive a voucher toward the purchase of safety boots.
