Then come work for the city you love!!  The City of Baltimore is immediately hiring for the position of Senior Human Resources Business Consultant who are innovative and driven in assisting in moving the City of Baltimore forward. 

A Senior Human Resources Business Consultant (SHRBC) for the Department of Human Resources reports to the DHR Chief HR Shared Services, and performs and provides the full-spectrum of enterprise-wide strategic, tactical, and operational generalist HR functions, activities, and affairs for Divisions within the Department of Human Resources, and across multiple City Partner Agencies.  The scope of the Human Resources Business Consultant's roles encompasses a high volume of human resources management responsibilities surrounding four (4) primary drivers that include HR Business partnering and consulting for the Department of Human Resources' Divisions, and Partner Agencies; compliance initiatives; performance management, workforce planning, succession planning and training; strategic planning; and special projects management.
 
Incumbents receive general supervision from an administrative superior.  Employees in this class works a conventional workweek.  Work is performed in an office where working
conditions are normal.  The work requires minimal physical exertion.
 
Note:  This classification is restricted to the City of Baltimore's Department of Human Resources (DHR), and involves enterprise-wide, generalist human resources functions, activities, and affairs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business or Public Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university, (Master's degree highly desirable).
 
Five (5) years progressive and strategic human resources management experience involving the full-spectrum of generalist HR functions and affairs (including employee and labor relations; wage/salary administration; employee benefits; learning & development; policy and compliance; recruitment & talent acquisition; organizational development; workforce planning; succession planning; strategic planning; special projects management in a large, diverse (including multicultural and multigenerational), matrixed, fast-paced organization.
 
Two (2) years regional, district, multi-site, or multi-divisional/unit experience required
 
Two (2) years' experience directly managing human resources professionals/practitioners, and programs required
 
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification(s) required.

Note:  Excellent oratory, written communications, consultative, influencing, project management, analytical, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning skills are essential.
