About the Position
The Department of Youth Development & Social Innovation is seeking qualified individuals for an hourly Safekey Region Assistant position.
The purpose of this recruitment is to establish an eligible list for future openings.
Supervision Received
Receives general supervision from higher level supervisory or management staff.EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assists full-time classified staff with operations of satellite facilities; travels to satellite sites as needed; answers phones and takes messages; take payments utilizing the CLASS system; delivers supplies and equipment as needed; assists in entering Participant Information Form information; assists in checking and entering Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) information; assists in reviewing and entering Department of Education Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) snack sheets and end-of-month report; assists in self-monitoring review of CACFP at sites; assists with department Financial Aid Program; assists in filing and scanning paperwork including weekly attendance forms, participant information forms, fire drill logs, receipts, etc.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Must successfully complete City of Las Vegas Defensive Driving course.
- First Aid and CPR Certification at time of hire/reclassification.
- Formal and informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
- Require some previous experience or expertise in the area of assignment.
- Computer and cash handling experience required.
- Bilingual skills are desirable.
