Part-time Parks Crew Member- Department of Community Services

Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Operations maintains and operates the county's award-winning park system and provides high quality parks and recreation facilities, innovative programs, and quality services to meet the broad-based needs of Gwinnett's diverse population, fostering a sense of community, creating a safe and secure environment, and enhancing Gwinnett's quality of life.

This class is responsible for performing routine maintenance of grounds such as mowing grass, picking up trash, and basic equipment maintenance. This position is part-time, up to 29 hours per week.  The position work schedule is varied with weekends as part of the schedule.  There is occasional after hours schedule changes required during the year.  This position requires the incumbent to spend a majority of the workday outside in all elements. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, or G.E.D.
• General laborer experience in janitorial services and/or grounds maintenance preferred;
• Valid Driver's License;
• Must be able to work a variety of hours, Sunday-Saturday, daytime and evenings throughout the year;
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays throughout the year.
