Class Summary
Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Operations maintains and operates the county's award-winning park system and provides high quality parks and recreation facilities, innovative programs, and quality services to meet the broad-based needs of Gwinnett's diverse population, fostering a sense of community, creating a safe and secure environment, and enhancing Gwinnett's quality of life.
This class is responsible for performing routine maintenance of grounds such as mowing grass, picking up trash, and basic equipment maintenance.
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. The work schedule is Mon-Fri from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Occasionally throughout the year, there are weekend work and after hours schedule changes. This position requires the incumbent to spend a majority of the workday outside in all elements.
The Grade for this position is A12(2).
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma, or G.E.D.;
- Valid Driver's license;
- Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

* Gwinnett County will contribute 7.0% of your pensionable earnings per pay period.- An employee is fully vested in 5 years. An employee can retire if he/she has reached the age of 55 and the sum of age and years of service equals 65.
