Music Instructor

The City of Greenville is seeking three music instructors (Violin, Keyboard/Piano, and Drums). Music instructors will teach youth and seniors basic beginner violin, keyboard/piano, or drum lessons.  Duties will include, but are not limited to, the planning and executing of lessons, teaching and interacting with parents/family members, and working with City recreation center staff to schedule facility use and supervise recitals. 

Requirements:

• 2-10 hours per week.  Late afternoons or early evenings for youth students. Some mornings or early afternoons for adult students.  Occasional weekend hours may be required. Working hours are flexible based on class schedules.
• Applicants must be proficient in reading sheet music.
• Applicants must have strong knowledge and skill in playing either the violin, keyboard/piano, or drums.
• Applicants must have some experience in conducting music lessons.
• Minimum age: 18
