Service Worker - Stormwater Division

This position is responsible for assisting in the construction, repair, and maintenance of the City's streets and stormwater system.

• Install proper warning devices at work sites
• Measure, assemble, and set forms for concrete; pour and finish concrete
• Repair and build storm drain boxes and pipes
• Purchase, pick up, and deliver materials to work sites
• Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools
• Clean clogged storm drains
• Operate a snow plow
• Lay stormwater pipe
• Operate an excavator, backhoe, and front-end loader
• Repair traffic control devices; design, fabricate, and install street signs
• Spray pesticides for mosquito control
• Operate a patch truck and repair pot holes
• Remove trees and clean storm damage
• Load and unload trucks by hand or with equipment
• Mow grass; operate a weed eater
• Perform routine maintenance on trucks and equipment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations
• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
