For evaluation purposes, acceptable qualifying experience for all positions must have been in a paid capacity unless noted otherwise in the minimum qualifications for the posted position.
Additionally, 30+ hours per week will be counted as full-time employment and will receive full credit for the amount of time employed.  A minimum of 15 through 29 work hours per week will be counted as part-time employment and will receive half credit for the amount of time employed.
 
Vacancies currently available in the following department(s):  Code Compliance Services, Sanitation, Dallas Water Utilities, and Trinity Watershed Management

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION:  

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE: 
  • Two (2) years of experience operating medium off- road automotive equipment used in excavation, construction, utility, landfill and/or street sweeping operations such as backhoe, rotobom or front-end loaders.
LICENSE(S) and/or CERTIFICATION(S):
  • Valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License and good driving record.
OTHER REQUIREMENT(S):
  • Subject to twenty-four (24) hour emergency call, inclement weather conditions, and high traffic areas.
  • Must pass background check. 
PREFERENCE(S):
  • English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.
