Position Information
Performs technical work in the review of simple plans and designs for subdivisions and public street improvements for compliance with street design standards and requirements and/or in the conduct of simple transportation and traffic studies and surveys; assists higher level technicians in the conduct of moderately complex and complex reviews, studies and surveys; and performs other related duties as required.
Current vacancy: Under immediate supervision assists higher level technicians in the issuance of various street permits and in the conduct of simple traffic studies, surveys and investigations to resolve minor complaints and problems; and prepares simple maps, charts, graphs, tables, and other graphic presentations.Additional Job Information

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of survey and/or data collection, tabulation and analysis work experience.
Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of basic research and survey methods and statistical procedures.
Substitution:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for all of the required experience.
