Purpose of Position:
This position will serve as part of the Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) Early Childhood Services Team. This position will work directly with the Early Care and Learning Manager and the Early Learning Quality Team, in the development, execution, monitoring and integration of Community-based quality initiatives. The position will implement strategies that promote the education, development care and wellbeing of young children in New Mexico in non-traditional community based early childhood programs. This position is responsible for the coordination with the New Mexico's Early Learning System partners to ensure alignment and integration of services. The position will communicate with local Early Learning programs about quality opportunities, access and approaches to impact services to young children and families. Bilingual speaker and candidates who and have experience in early learning systems preferred. Bilingual Speaker preferred.

This position is a Pay Band 65.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or University and two (2) years of experience in teaching and working with lesson planning and curriculum design. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements:
Must possess a current and valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and conditional pending results.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to basic office equipment such as: computers, office phones, fax machines, copiers, and shredders. Incumbent may be sitting and driving for extensive periods and may have to lift up to 40 lbs. (normally boxes of booklets, forms, or training material). Some Travel and overnight stays may be required.
