Bus Driver #2017-PT23

This position operates a passenger bus for various recreational programs and activities. The Bus Driver is responsible for the safety of their passengers, as well as use of defensive driving skills and adhering to all procedures, rules, and motor vehicle regulations. Performs maintenance (general cleaning) of bus after use.  Performs other duties as required.

High school diploma or equivalent.  Must have a valid Florida Class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Transport Endorsement at the time of application. Ability to establish rapport with the public.  Ability to follow written and oral instructions.  Sedentary position with the ability to handle and feel objects or controls, talk, and hear. Ability to drive a 40 passenger bus and 80 passenger transit bus with an automatic transmission. Physical abilities include standing, walking and bending. Must be able to work and drive in adverse weather conditions.

Work Days/Hours:             Varies, flexible work schedule, may include weekday mornings, evenings and weekends; possible split shifts.  No more than 25 hours per week.
