Purpose of Position:
This position will provide senior level professional legal services for protective services cases in litigation, counsel, interpretation of law, research, analysis, mediation and administrative hearings.

This position is a Pay Band 75.

Minimum Qualifications

Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited school of law and three (3) years of experience in the practice of law. 

Employment Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. A pre-employment background investigation is required.

Statutory Requirements:
Licensed as an attorney by the Supreme Court of New Mexico or qualified to apply for limited practice license.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints. May be exposed to potentially difficult clients/witnesses. Some statewide travel may be required. Must have own mode of transportation for daily travel.
