- Performs a variety of revenue collection activities
- Provides technical information and assistance to the general public and county employees using the Fairfax County Unified System (FOCUS), Plans and Waiver System (PAWS), and Fairfax Inspection Database Online (FIDO).
- Processes accounts receivable activities in support of Land Development Services (LDS).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to high school graduation and two years of experience providing administrative support in the assigned functional area(s).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Experience assisting customers in person over a public counter and via telephone.
- Completion of FOCUS Financial Module training courses.
- One year of basic accounting and/or financial systems experience.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities and attend to multiple tasks.
- Must be detail-oriented, have good customer service and communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain productive and effective staff relationships.
- Ability to use Excel spreadsheets and enter data for tracking return checks, escrow account releases, etc.
The appointee to the position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Duties are generally sedentary and performed in a normal office environment. However, ability to use keyboard-driven equipment, open file cabinet drawers and safe door with assistance, bend and lift up to 10 pounds and manual dexterity to unlock safe with or without reasonable accommodations.
