Special Education Hearing Impaired Instructor: Schools: Temporary On-Call (0217)

Coconino County Education Service Agency (CCESA) is seeking qualified service providers to be temporary on-call employees with the CCESA to provide county schools with special education hearing impaired services.

This position is to provide interpretive services to facilitate communication between students with hearing and/or communication disabilities and other individuals through oral and signed language.

Note: Services are to be provided within the geographical area of Coconino County in district and charter schools.

The individual hired for this position will be able to provide interpretive services to facilitate communications between students with hearing and/or communication disabilities and other individuals through oral and signed language.

Essential functions include: driving, sitting, working with and around others, working with interruptions, repetitive motion (hand/wrist, elbow/shoulder), vision acuity (near/far) for computer work, hearing and speech for ordinary conversation, touch/finger dexterity for typing and data entry.
 

Current Hearing Impaired Special Education, Birth to Grade 12 Certificate; Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Preferences: Two years experience teaching preschool, elementary a nd secondary school subjects to hearing impaired students using various methods of communication (e.g. gestures, sign language, finger spelling, and speech cues, etc.).
