Big Bend Community College (BBCC) is seeking qualified individuals for Associate (part-time) Faculty positions in our Nursing program.  BBCC is a small rural community college located in the sunny, central part of Washington State, and is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.  Big Bend Community College serves over 5,000 students annually, with an annualized FTE of approximately 2,100, in a 4,600-square-mile service district including 15 communities in Grant and Adams Counties and the Odessa School District in Lincoln County with on-site, online instruction, and interactive classrooms.

Associate Faculty receive quarterly contracts.  Payment is based on $675.91/per lecture credit.  

This position is responsible to instruct Level I and Level II nursing students in the college's Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing (AAS) Program.  The individual in this position will provide clinical instruction to students caring for clients across the healthcare spectrum

At the time of application, the candidate must possess the following:

• Master's Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a graduate degree in a health or education-related field from a regionally accredited college or university.  Candidates holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, along with applicable work experience, may be considered.
• A current unencumbered professional license as a Registered Nurse in Washington State.
• Evidence of current clinical skills in nursing, particularly in geriatrics and medical-surgical areas.
• Meet Washington Vocational Certification Standards.
• Experience working with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.  

• Prior teaching experience in a higher education setting.
• Experienced in computer applications for instructional purposes.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
