Description
ELECTION WORKER
Extra Help (No Benefits)
If you have the following skills and abilities, we have just the opportunity for you.
- Physical strength and agility
- Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record (will be verified with DMV)
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and a willingness to observe them
- Previous warehouse experience, minimum 1 year
- Forklift Operator's certificate preferred
These are warehouse positions. Working conditions may be dirty. Warehouse temperature varies widely. Operation of warehouse lifting devices, including the forklift will be required. Heavy lifting is required.
Election Warehouse Workers participate in:
- Collection and delivery of mail
- Driving County Vans and other vehicles
- May drive vehicle pulling trailer
- Handling vote by mail ballots, outgoing and returned under security conditions
- Preparing and moving voting equipment and supplies
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Delivery and pick up of supplies and equipment to polling sites
- Delivery and set up of devices to assist the disabled at poll sites.
