DEFINITION
The Recreation Leader/Aide works directly with other Recreation staff members to provide assistance in the administration of programs and activities. This position assists with the Afterschool Playground program. This position is temporary and part-time. Pay begins at $11.00/hour.

The following duties for this part-time position will include but are not limited to: participating in staff trainings and meetings, promoting the program, recruiting participants, keeping accurate records, and planning, organizing, leading, supervising daily playground activities for children ages 6 – 12 years old, and other duties as assigned. Playground activities include but are not limited to: group games, sports, arts and crafts, special events and contests.
SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday, when school is in session
After school from 2:30PM-6:00PM
Approximately 18 hours per weekMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications include: Effective leadership skills with children; creative; good decision making; exercise appropriate judgment; ability to teach; ability to lead by example. Some college credit in related field of study is preferred. Desirable applicants will possess a minimum of two years' experience working in Recreation, Youth Sports Coaching, Child Care, or a related field.
Applicants must:- Be at least 16 years old to apply
