Job Responsibilities
- Under general supervision performs security duties designed to protect the property of the South Carolina Military Department and individuals against loss and /or injury due to disorderly acts, accidents, fires or other hazards.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be a United States citizen. Applicants must be able to run 1.5 miles in 17.5 minutes and perform 19 pushups in 2 minutes. Must be a proficient operator of a vehicle and possesses a valid South Carolina Driver's license with no record of suspensions for certain offenses within the previous five-year period. Applicants must also successfully complete all required law enforcement training and certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fire prevention, safety or security activities. A high school diploma and experience in fire prevention, safety or security activities. Law Enforcement experience in city, county, state or military police preferred.
