For evaluation purposes, acceptable qualifying experience for all positions must have been in a paid capacity unless noted otherwise in the minimum qualifications for the posted position.Additionally, 30+ hours per week will be counted as full-time employment and will receive full credit for the amount of time employed. A minimum of 15 through 29 hours per week will be counted as part-time employment and will receive half credit for the amount of time employed.

- EDUCATION:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment involving diesel engines and/or hydraulic systems.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
- Must obtain a class A or B CDL within probationary period.
- Must be able to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
- Requires thorough knowledge of materials, tools, and principles used in the repair of heavy construction, landfill, or emergency fire equipment.
- Availability to work varying shifts (nights) including weekends, holidays.
Aviation: Per Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular 150/5210-20, selected candidate must be able to demonstrate a functional knowledge of the English language. Must pass FAA and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background investigations.
Equipment & Building Services: Must have ability to instruct and lead entry-level automotive equipment mechanics. Must obtain Automotive Air Conditioning Technician certification during probationary period. (Instruction/test administered in-house).
