Job Responsibilities
Serves as an adjunct instructor for Basic EMT through Workforce Development. Teaches classes in Basic EMT that prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed to become a Basic EMT during the day, evening, and weekend at the Shaw Center campus (Fall, Spring, and Summer).
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Minimum of 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. Must have current certification as a Nationally Registered Paramedic and as a SC Paramedic, with a minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Paramedic. Successful completion of a nationally approved EMS or Fire instructor methodology course. Certification as a CPR instructor with AHA, ARC or ASHI. Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience (CPR, First Aid, Emergency Medical Responder, IST, etc.) and endorsement from the EMT Program Coordinator of the Training Institution.
