Shuttle Drivers - Casual/work only as needed

To operate one of the vehicles in the Grapevine Visitor Transportation Shuttle System on an on-call basis.

1.         Transports visitors on a designated route from Grapevine hotels to shopping venues, restaurants and attractions within the City.

 

2.         Transports guests on unscheduled runs when the vehicles are contracted for charters.

 

3.         Reports Grapevine Visitor Shuttle vehicle maintenance needs to Lead Driver or Grapevine Vintage Railroad General Manager.

 

4.         Fuels the vehicle as needed and maintains the vehicle interior in a clean and safe manner.

 

5.         Reports accidents as instructed, per City policy.

 

6.         Promotes and maintains good public relations and customer service.

 

7.         Collects fares as posted and maintains all paperwork regarding collections and ridership in an orderly and correct fashion.

 

8.         Makes deposits of collected fares in the prescribed manner.

 

9.         Maintains a log noting all incidents, guests and stakeholder comments. The log will be reviewed on a daily basis by the supervisor.

 

10.       Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

High school diploma or GED. Minimum 21 years of age. Position requires valid Texas Class B CDL Drivers License with passenger endorsement. No DWI (alcohol or drugs) convictions and no more than one moving violation in the last three years. Attend Defensive Driving classes as scheduled by the supervisor.
 Ability to count money and make change correctly. Geographical knowledge of metroplex and particularly Grapevine beneficial as well as willingness to drive throughout the area.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekend hours. Outgoing guest service oriented individual desired.
Must pass a criminal and credit background investigation and polygraph test.
