Position Purpose

Additionally, 30+ hours per week will be counted as full-time employment and will receive full credit for the amount of time employed. A minimum of 15 through 29 work hours per week will be counted as part-time employment and will receive half credit for the amount of time employed.

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE (must include all of the following):
- Three (3) years experience operating heavy motorized equipment used in excavation, construction, landfill or waste collections, such as maintainer (blade), bulldozers, backhoe, rotoboom, trenching machine or waste collection truck.
LICENSE(S) and/or CERTIFICATION(S):
- Valid Texas class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with good driving record.
OTHER REQUIREMENT(S):
- Subject to twenty-four/seven (24/7) emergency calls.
- Must pass background check.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY(IES):
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions and high traffic areas.
Park and Recreation: Must have a valid Class A driver's license and good driving record. Must be able to make different types of asphalt repairs as well as have the ability to safely operate all types of heavy equipment.
