Job Responsibilities
The South Carolina State Museum is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Sales Associate to join its sales team! This associate will perform retail, ticketing, membership, and operational functions at the Museum Store (The Cotton Mill Exchange), Admissions Desk, and 4-D Theater.
This position is limited to 29.5 hours a week. Hours will vary depending on Museum need. Extended evening hours, holidays, and weekends will be required.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:- Providing outstanding guest service!
- Point-of-sale system processing
- Ticket order processing
- Promoting Museum shows, programs, and events
- Answering phone inquiries
- Cash handling: balancing a register, requesting change as needed
- Assisting with retail inventory
- General cleaning of Retail and Admissions counters and areas
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A smiling, enthusiastic, team oriented personality welcomed!
Basic math skills and knowledge of US currency required.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be capable of lifting up to 25lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior retail, guest services, and point-of-sale experience preferred!
